Wisconsin International College MBA Requirement

MBA PROGRAMME
The two-year MBA programme is accredited by the National Accreditation Board and the degree is awarded by the University of Ghana.

The MBA programme of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, was introduced in the year 2000, to address the business challenges of producing competent managers and leaders for both private and public sector organisations.
The programme provides general business education at an advanced level and the relevant courses in six areas of specialization to meet the interests of students and industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The University College admits all qualified students without reference to race, ethnicity, religion, politics or nationality.

Admission requirements are of two categories. In Category A, applicants must hold a good first degree with, at least, a second class lower division from an accredited higher educational institution.

In Category B, applicants for admission may enter the programme with a professional qualification at the final level, and be in good standing of membership of a recognized professional body such as Charted Accountants and Marketers (CA – Ghana, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) and show satisfactory evidence of postgraduate study, research and professional experience.

The programme consists of 12 general courses and four elective courses in the area of specialization. Students will also be required to submit a dissertation as part of the requirement for the graduation.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme is run on a modular basis over a period of 24 months. There will be five modular sessions of 16 weeks each for the duration of the programme. Three modules will be taken concurrently at each modular session; lectures will be given over 12 weeks to be followed by two weeks of revision and another two weeks for examinations.
