The ETH Zurich university in Switzerland currently has made support for bright students who aim at pursuing a Master's degree in the university. There are two available scholarship programmes.
ETH Zurich supports excellent students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH with two scholarship schemes.
The programmes are as fellows:
- Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP)
- Master Scholarship Programme (MSP).
The scholarships are offered based on the available funds annually. The scholarships are offered to both citizens of Switzerland and international students.
Courses of Study:
These scholarships are available for all eligible Masters Degree Programme offered by the ETH Zurich university
Value of the Scholarships:
Each of the two scholarship have different values. Check them below.
- The University's Excellence Scholarship includes a grant covering living and study expenses as well as a tuition fee waiver. The study expenses can go as much as CHF 11,000 per semester.
- The University's Master Scholarship Programme consists of a partial stipend for living and study expenses (CHF 6,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver. The department can additionally provide a scholarship of CHF 1,500 – 3,000 per semester or offer an assistantship from the second semester onwards (with a payment of CHF 600 per month).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the scholarship programmes, one must possess a good academic record. He or she could also be a student of ETH Zurich or from other universities wishing to obtain a Master's degree at the university. All applicants must have a good academic record from the Bachelor's degree. Students must belong to the best 10 percent of their Bachelor’s programme.

Applicants must submit an application form (the same for both programmes), a letter of motivation, a pre-proposal for your Master’s thesis, and letters of recommendation from two professors. Application deadline for the Excellence Scholarship for Master programmes starting in 2015 is 15 December 2014(date of postmark).
